IN-SEASON FORMS: Travel Permits, Sanctions & Game and Practice Changes

Inclement Weather Process - Reference HRI Regulation 8.13 for detailed process, pasted below for reference:

8.13     In the case of adverse weather conditions that may prevent teams traveling to practices, games, tournaments, or other HRI events, the safety of the players is the primary concern. Teams are expected to make every effort to play scheduled league games, where possible, considering member and player safety. HRI recommends contacting/reviewing the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline to determine if weather warnings are in effect. If travel is not recommended or roads are closed within a timeframe where a team would reasonably travel to or home from the game, the following process is to be used:

  • If weather warnings are in effect the traveling Team Officials are to decide if the game is to be cancelled.
  • If a game is to be cancelled the Team Officials are to contact the HRI Scheduler to advise of the team's decision not to travel and that game cancellation is required. The canceling Team Officials are to contact the other team's Head Coach to advise of the game cancellation. The HRI Scheduler will advise the required HRI staff, contractors and/or Directors.
  • If the game is outside Regina, it is the responsibility of the Associate Member team to make cancellation arrangements with the referees/timekeepers.
  • If the game is outside Regina, both team’s Head Coaches are to agree on a rescheduled game and the home team is to complete a game change by contacting the HRI Scheduler.
  • If the game cannot be rescheduled in a reasonable time frame, the game will be recorded as a 0-0 tie.

TEAMLINKT RESOURCES & SUPPORT
  • Check In Procedure "How To": Head Coaches or Managers (Team Admins) will support digital game sheets by "checking-in" players online prior to each game.
HOCKEY REGINA WILL NOT BE USING DIGITAL GAMESHEETS FOR THE 2025-2026 SEASON and will look to implement in future years.
  • Learn how to manage (non HRI allocated) team events
  • Create and manage polls:  Polls are a great way to collect input from families or hold a vote
  • Create a Team Challenge: You can create a custom challenge for your team to complete. Only team admins can create challenges.
  • Additional resources for Team Admins
  • All Team Admins have the ability to communicate directly through TeamLinkt with other Team Admins by following these steps:
    1. Open the TeamLinkt App
    2. Choose "Chat" along the bottom
    3. Change "Team" to "League" under the Blue +
    4. You will now have access to Team Admins for every team in the organization, including Associate Members.
Note: If there is no Team Admin listed (in the case of select HRI teams and some Associate teams), Hockey Regina has not been provided with any Team Admins yet.

Matching goalie grant program

Hockey Regina is excited to announce the new Goalie Development Match Grant Program for the 2025-26 season! Hockey Regina is providing up to $175.00 for every U13 – U15 team to support funding specifically for goalie instruction and development.
HOW IT WORKS:
If a team spends $350.00 or more on goalie development or instruction Hockey Regina will provide a grant in cheque form to the team up to a maximum of $175.00.   If a team spends less than $350.00 the provided grant will simply be half the amount spent by the team.
GRANT REQUIREMENTS:

Hockey Regina is diligent in ensuring quality instructors are being utilized for the grant program and therefore all instructors must be an approved vendor.  Hockey Regina will be working directly with the goaltending instructors and vendors in monitoring the grant program and funding utilized.  Approved goaltending vendors are listed below.
