Tournament Sanction

To host a tournament it must be sanctioned by Hockey Saskatchewan. Hockey Regina is required to submit tournament sanction applications on our members behalf to Hockey Saskatchewan.

Every sanctioned tournament will be assessed a sanction fee of $30.00 if the online application is received by Hockey Saskatchewan one week prior to the first day of the tournament.  If the online application is not received within one week of the first day of the tournament a sanction fee of $50.00 will be assessed.    

Once the form has been completed, you will be contacted by Hockey Regina with payment instructions. Credit Card Payment will be required.
Upon payment being completed, you will receive an email from Hockey Saskatchewan if/when the tournament has been sanctioned.


All tournament gamesheets from the event must be submitted to Hockey Saskatchewan within 72 hours of the event ending. Teams not submitting gamesheets to Hockey Saskatchewan will be fined $100.

The Hockey Saskatchewan sanction number should be recorded on the top corner of each gamesheet.   


Note the relevant Hockey Saskatchewan Regualtions to be aware of when requesting a tournament sanction:

  • 6.04.14 - Under 7c) There will be no U7 games sanctioned by Hockey Saskatchewan until December 1st annually NOTE: All U7 play until December 1st is practice
  • 6.04.15 - Under 9d) There will be no U9 Tournament games sanctioned by Hockey Saskatchewan prior to December 1st
  • As Per 6.08.02, no Tournament Sanctions will be issued to any teams in the appropriate age groups during Sask First Regional Camp and Tournament Dates.
