Hockey Regina Inc. (HRI), as the governing Minor Hockey Association for our AAA programs, oversees the recruitment and appointment process for each program’s Head Coach. We want to share an update regarding the leadership of the AAA Regina Rebels. 

In 2024, the Board-appointed Committee recruited Kai Leggett to lead the Rebels program under a two-year agreement for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 seasons. We are immensely grateful for Kai’s leadership and contributions over the past 18 months. His efforts have shifted the program’s momentum in an extremely positive direction, reflected in this season’s strong results and the foundational structures he has implemented. 

After careful consideration, Kai has advised HRI that he will not seek to renew his coaching agreement at the conclusion of this season. This decision is for personal reasons, and we fully support Kai as he moves into his next chapter. We remain deeply appreciative of his positive impact on the program. 

In this, Hockey Regina is now seeking the next leader of the AAA Rebels program and is currently accepting applications for the program’s next Head Coach.  HRI is searching for an individual who is passionate about all aspects of elite female hockey, for a minimum two-year head coaching term.  

This individual will lead the advancement of the Rebels AAA program into its next frontier.   

Specifically, HRI is seeking a strong technical hockey mind with exceptional leadership and communication, who has a key focus on wholistic player development and is passionate to contribute to the continued long-term building of a premier program.
