Policy PURPOSE & SCOPE

The purpose of the Travel Policy is to:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all players, team officials, parents, and other travel participants during hockey-related travel.
  • Establish clear expectations and responsibilities for travel.
  • Promote appropriate conduct and supervision while representing Hockey Regina Inc. (HRI).
  • Minimize risk in the event of an emergency.

This policy applies to sanctioned hockey-related team travel of HRI teams.

Disclaimer: HRI’s U18AAA teams are to have their own travel policies and procedures considering the extensive travel requirements of these programs.

Policy GUIDING PRINCIPLES

  • The safety of HRI members is the primary consideration during all travel.
  • All travel participants must conduct themselves respectfully while representing HRI.
  • All HRI team travel must comply with HRI Regulations, Codes of Conduct, and policies.
  • Team officials are responsible for ensuring players are supervised appropriately throughout team travel activities.
