Complaints process

Before submitting a complaint, please take the time to read the HRI Complaint Policy to understand the process, required information, and timelines.

To ensure a fair and thorough review, complaints should be filed in the same season as the incident and immediately after dispute resolution efforts have taken place. 

Once your submission is received, HRI will acknowledge it within two business days, begin an initial review, and communicate next steps, including whether the complaint falls under HRI’s jurisdiction.

Most complaints are reviewed and resolved within one (1) to three (3) weeks, depending on complexity.

Note that Information provided may be provided to the respondent, those reviewing and/or investigating the complaint, those noted in the process of review and/or investigation to have witnessed or be relevant to the complaint, HRI staff, HRI Board of Directors, HRI contractors, HRI discipline committee.
