What is HRI Rec Hockey?
HRI Midget Rec
Similar to high school hockey, HRI Midget Rec is competitive "no bodycheck" hockey with emphasis on sportsmanship, fair play and equal ice time for all players.
HRI Midget Rec is fast, fun and affordable hockey best suited for players with busy life styles who have other interests and commitments such as school sports, academics, part time jobs, etc..
In 2006-07, HRI Midget Rec had 6 teams with players primarily 15 to 19 years of age.
The season includes a 22 game schedule, playoffs and HRI Midget Rec Tournament.
In 2006-07, total cost for most teams including the Hockey Regina Inc. registration fees was approx. $450 to $500 per player. Cost varies with team activities, number of practices, etc.
On February 16, 17 & 18, 2007, HRI Midget Rec held its "9th Annual HRI Rec Tournament" in Regina which included teams from Calgary and Saskatoon. The tournament was a huge success!
