Coaches for Officials

Hockey Regina is pleased to announce the Coaches for Officials for 2018-2019 to assist in developing officials for Hockey Regina. The following individuals have completed the SHA Grassroots Seminar to assist with coaching Hockey Regina Officials throughout the season to make the officials more comfortable and knowledgable in the requirements of officiating. The coaches will assign themselves into games as coach/supervisor and introduce themselves to the officials crew prior to the game and provide feedback during and after the game. Hockey Regina's goal is to complete 400 Individual Coaching opportunities throughout the year.

The SHA Grassroots Development Plan

Vision:

Provide the best possible officials for Saskatchewan

Resources from the SHA's referee division to promote development and mentorship of younger officials in our zones and communities

Young officials feel comfortable and well trained when officiating hockey games.

Plan:

The Grassroots development model will include officials who work novice, atom and Pee Wee

Grassroots coaches will also provide support for Bantam and Midget when required.
